I am sure on this one- Crocodilians- Have the strongest bite, way stronger than a great white!
A 15-16 foot Saltwater crocodile bit down with over 3900 pounds per square inch! The Great White Shark has only 1000 pounds.
Hyenas have over 1000 pounds and the lion and tiger have about 1000 pounds.
The Nile Crocodile and the Saltwater Crocodile- Because they are the biggest of all Crocodilians and have massive Jaw Structure.
The American Alligator also has extreme pressure, about 2100-3000 pounds for males.

Great whites actually do not have that strong a bite. Well not the strongest at least. They simply need to grab on and shake their heads because their razor sharp teeth do a great job shearing chunks of meat off seals and fish..
The hyena has potentially the strongest bite since they have been observed breaking off huge bones of carcasses but they are so timid, they haven't managed to get a reading for the bite power.
The alligator turtle is a strong contender but is a small creature compared to the alligator who of course has been measured by simply throwing the instrument into his mouth to snap on..
So it's the alligator (for a confirmed reading) but it'd go with the hyena..

Well, The Most Extreme says it's the cookie cutter shark. After all, it did bite a hole (a little hole) out of a submarine.
If you 're including extinct animals though...well according to the Current Science magazine, the marsupial lion had the strongest bite of any known animal.
In reptiles, it was the Deinonychus (I think that's how you spell it), a giant croclodile.

Purely in terms of pounds exerted per square-inch, I believe the strongest bite recorded of any living animal belongs to the Great White Shark.

The hyaena in general, and all of its species, are the mammals with the strongest jaws. What is weird is that the aardwolf is closely related to the hyaenas, yet is has weak teeth and eats only ants and such.
The reptile with the strongest bite is the crocodile.
I do not know which of these has a stronger jaw.

The strongest animal chomp on record currently is a bull gator at Gatorland in FL with 2,125 pounds of force. Sharks are about half of that, 1,500 pounds, while the spotted hyena and other mammals are about the same.

the hyena has the strongest bite. a juvenile hyena can bite as hard as a fully grown male lion. and in a previous answer someone said the great white, but a fully grown adult hyena has about 200pounds/sqr inch more punch than a great white.
the lion has a force of about 1000pounds/sqr inch
the hyena = 1700pounds/sqr inch
the great white= 1550pounds/sqr inch

for their size, hyenas have the strongest bite. however in the whole animals kingdom it would be crocodiles, hippos or the great white shark.

I believe it is the hyena. They can bite through steel with something like 3000 pounds of pressure per inch.
