I came to school today wearing brand new socks and none of the other kids complimented them and now I feel like a total loser. All I ever wanted was to be cool, maybe I should try smoking.

and when others do not notice new socks or compliment you, it does not mean you're a loser, or un-cool.
because you are created unique, and you don't need to try to be cool.
because cool actually means just standing out from the rest. by conforming, and trying so hard to be cool, the irony is that you arent.
in fact the contrary... people will look down on you when you start smoking.
why don't you try to stop trying?
because, i feel you are trying too hard...
be yourself.
being cool doesnt mean people will start to accept you.
don't try too hard.

it's a universal struggle, to want to be accepted.
but i know someone who has already accepted you when everyone hasn't. that some1 loves you when every1 else hates you.
He accepts and Loves you cuz, he created you. and you are precious.

Stop trying to to be cool, just be your self and if anybody that don't like it is the loser. What difference does it make if the other kid even noticed your socks or not. Trying to be cool with the other kids can lead you in trouble . Think about it. do you have to prove anything to them, they don't try to prove anything to you.
You just worry about your school grades and everything will turn out OK.

you're only a loser if you believe you are.
do NOT EVER smoke or do drugs. smoking makes your teeth yellow, kills your lungs, there's so many bad diseases and crap that comes out of it, i could go on forever. it's really not worth it. practically cuts your life in half. your family loves you, lots of people love you, why would you want to do that?
and i bet your socks were lovely today. :) y

Don't every call yourself a loser you're not. It's hard in school. Kids can be so mean. It will get better. Hang in there be yourself don't start smoking. Thing well change maybe not in school but when you get out. I have been there it will get better.Believe in yourself you can do anything you set your mind to. Best of luck.

oh youre the boy that i answered rude things...im sorry... well for your info there is no suh things as losers.they never exist..and having new socks not being noticed?whats the big deal.if u want to be cool then be yourself. thats the coolest thing youll ever do.if u want to stand out in a crowd then take off ur socks,wave them and shout "I HAVE NEW SOCKS".huh?now are you satisfied. if u gonna do that youll look foolish and be considered as a big SHOW-OFF.so think?and last is smoking doesnt add but subtracts.......understand?

People tend not to notice socks.
No reason to feel like a loser only because of socks.
I would not recommend starting smoking; why have the hassle of smelly clothing, not to mention health-related issues?
A girl told me this once -
