We see the specialist next week as she isn't walking yet other than with a push toy and walks with her legs outward and an awkward waddle. My god daughter had this make sure and take her to the specialist. She may just need time to learn but take her to a doctor anyway. Theresa needed a cast and surgery walks with a walker now. Most pediatrician 's are great but may not know what to look for. Make a list of her problems and if possible make a video of her walking at this age she may not want to walk at the doctors office this way they can see what you see every day.

from what i know hip displasia is evident when the baby is a couple weeks old. put the legs together and bend the knees, are the thighs the same length? sometimes the fat folds on a baby's thigh won't match the other side. in class we learned they can cast the baby until that area strenghtens. but different drs do different things.
