We're trying to put together a gift basket for her little friends and I'm not very crafty but I want to help her. What's the easiest way you have found to make a special suncatcher mobile?

Take a plastic bottle of any size and cut circles about a 1/4 inch thick around the bottle. An old javex bottle would make about 10 to 12 rings. Wrap a piece of cling wrap over the ring and push another ring over it to hold the film firmly. Your lil sis can then draw objects and paint them. When done, glue them onto the film. Poke small holes through the ring and tie them together to form any shape you desire. A straight run of three or four, or one at the top. then two below, followed three, etc. Most importantly, have fun with your lil sis..

Made of many types of materials from simple plastic, to metal sculptures with a crystal attached to catch the sun, to intricately pieced together stained-glass window art, a suncatcher can be hung in any window for viewing enjoyment, and are ideal for bringing a little sunshine into a room.

If you can crochet I suggest buying a 5 inch metl hoop from Michaels...crochet a doily pattern until you reach the 5 inch diamete and then stitch in onto the ring. You can even crochet a border along it or wind it with ribbon. Make a loop to hang it with and voila!
