Well, a huge disadvantage arises in ownership of land. First, it's very amusing that there is even considered valid title on these vast tracts of land big money families were granted by a king who'd never been here and clearly had no right to give title to these lands. So, the first owners of property in America, who then began selling, bought stolen goods, essentially.
Now, when someone is considered by the state to have absolute private property rights over the land, developers can put in horrible community destroying or environmental destroying projects, and none of the people who are dramatically affected by what happens to the land has a voice.
That's once disadvantage I can think of. Nothing else springs to mind right now, as I think capitalism with a commitment to income redistribution is better than communism.
