Having a debate with someone. they say you aren't considered an adult in Tennessee until age 21 - as in parents still responsible for you, etc. I thought the national standard was 18. Anyone got any info on this? Factual things you can point me to?

There should be a law governing the signing of contracts. That will tell you how old you must be to legally stand on your own. In Nebraska, that age is 19, but it varies from state to state.

The term might be listed as "Age of Majority" in the Tennessee laws. A quick check of the state's website should provide you with a link to Tennessee laws on file.

I think that legal age of adulthood is 18 across the country. Not really sure where you can confirm though. I think you only need to be 18 to be a stripper though.
