He will lose because he is not the best man,but give him more time. He will one day run and win the office of the President of the United States of America.

It seems that the African American presidential candidate has arrived on the scene a little early, before America is really ready.

Fortunately there is still a little time to adjust.

To me, at this time at least, I find Barack Obama's reputation to be sterling and his delivery to be flawless.

Springfield, Ill. is a fitting place for him to launch his campaign. I think of Abraham Lincoln, emancipation, and the plight of blacks in America. Like Lincoln, Obama was a lawer.

If Lincoln were able to observe from the Lincoln Monument what was happening in Washington D. C. these days, as a fellow lawyer and skilled speaker and debater, Lincoln would surely have to admit that Barack Obama would have been his toughest opponent ever. Abraham Lincoln may have lost the election if he had debated Barack Obama instead of Stephen Douglas. In a 60 minutes interview Obama said, "I think we're in a moment of history where probably the most important thing we need to do is to bring the country together and one of the skills that I bring to bear is being able to pull together the different strands of American life and focus on what we have in common". If Barak Obama can really do this, what he says he can do, there would be no other president since Lincoln to have brought the country together. Barack Obama is the Goldilocks Candidate. His experience is not too much or too little. It's just right.

I think America *could* be ready for an African American president. If Obama loses it will surely be in *part* because he's black, but it won't be entirely because he's black. The question becomes whether the country's reached that "tipping point" yet, and only as truly qualified candidates run can we find that out.

Sure, America is ready, but Obama won't even get the nomination; Hillary will destroy him. It's already begun--she (her camp) has brought out the story about his purported Muslim education. Sorry for the Obama supporters, welcome to the world of dirty Clinton politics.

Let me ask you this: DOES AMERICA NEED A CHANGE?
A lot of Democrats and Republicans believe so.... What does color have to do with change? I thought "WE" were past that 20 years ago.....?

He certainly couldn't do as bad a job as the current President.

It has nothing to do with his skin color. I'd much prefer Colin Powell...now there's a man of integrity.
