someone just answered one of my questions saying that a Doppleganger appears when a serious event is about to happen or that person is about to die...
MY QUESTION IS: who could be about to die... the person in the image... or the person that sees the image??

"Doppelganger" is German for "double walker" - a shadow self that is thought to accompany every person. Traditionally, it is said that only the owner of the doppelganger can see this phantom self, and that it can be a harbinger of death. Occasionally, however, a doppelganger can be seen by a person's friends or family, resulting in quite a bit of confusion."

The doppelgängers of folklore cast no shadow, and have no reflection in a mirror or in water. They are supposed to provide advice to the person they shadow, but this advice can be misleading or malicious. They can also, in rare instances, plant ideas in their victim's mind or appear before friends and relatives, causing confusion. In many cases once someone has viewed his own doppelgänger he is doomed to be haunted by images of his ghostly counter-part.

Other folklore says that when a person's dopplegänger is seen, the person him/herself will die shortly. It is considered unlucky to try to communicate with such a dopplegänger.

Basically the general view is that when you see your own doppleganger you will die and when another person see's someone elses doppleganger they are trying to communicate with you - a more detailed response is in your last question. Good luck

Sorry to the person who said that, but Dopplegangers can appear any time, not just in death. I'm not sure where they got that from.

I have seen one.

It was a man I loved.

He was grocery shopping in the local store.

Thing is, he lived 1000 miles away.

My daughter noticed him first.

just plain weird. we are both alive and well 9 years later.
