Just crunching some numbers to get an idea of post baby budgeting. How many nappies would an average newborn baby go through per day??
Thanks in advance :)

As many as possible. lol I usually bought two packs of the newborn size for the first few days then went onto size 1. Usually safe to figure at least one diaper per bottle...we always changed diapers before we gave our girls a bottle. So, figuring on an average of 3 hour feedings...over a 24 hour day....your looking at a safe 8 to 10 diapers per day. UCK. Good thing they don't smell much at first.....Just buy a lot of size one...it's not as if you can really have too many. And if you do most stores will take them back or exchange them as long as the package isn't opened. I always stuck with the national brands...usually pampers....Congrats and Good luck.

Figure 1 per feeding, plus a couple for those between feeding poopy diapers. For the first few weeks that will mean 8-10 per day, reducing to 6-8 by about 4-6 weeks on. We're at 2.5 months old and just moved up to size 2 diapers.

well newborn babies usually eat ever 2-4 hours and everytime they eat its usually time to chang a diaper. So anywhere from 10-13 diapers a day (give or take) so there is 42 days in 6 weeks. so 42*10= 420. So you will need about 420 diapers! and for the first six weeks Newborn diapers will be fine.

Our son went through the average 8-12/day for the first 2 1/2 months. Then the number started to decrease because between 2 1/2 - 3 months they usually start pooping less (anywhere from 1/day to 1/week can be normal; your doctor can help you figure it out as you go). If you are trying to guess quantity, keep in mind that sizes change for disposables based on baby's weight...but there is some flexibility within that so you don't have to guess perfectly. Hope this helps!

anywhere from 6-12. Do not purchase a ton of newborn diapers, they will grow out of them fast.

One for every bottle or breastfeeding session, at least at first. Then you have to allow for accidents. So on average between 8-14. Good luck!
