Im driving down to california from washington. What should I do to my 97 acura to make it road trip ready. Lexiana has 143,553 miles on it.

a freebie that u can do is take it to advance auto and have them check out your battery/charging system. u can check ur oil and antifreeze levels. fill up windshield washer fluid. check air in tires. u might want to take it in to a private mechanic, not a dealer and tell him to give it a check up. might be worth the 50/75 bucks .have a good trip.

you should have your vehicle checked at the dealership or reputable car shop. they have the multi-point inspections. all your fluids should be at top level, your tire thread within acceptable limit, brake pads OK. and last but not the least, buy a safety first aid kit to take with you during your road trip

changing oil and filter is cheap insurance to start with. check transmission fluid, brake fluid, belts, hoses, tires(tread and pressure), CHECK YOUR SPARE TIRE in case you need it and be sure you have the proper tools to change it, lights, windshield wiper fluid and windshield wiper blades. much better to find out one or any of these things need attention and doing i ahead of time than finding out while you are beside the road broken down or worse.
