As parents hate the bad things that their children do, they still love their children. Parents may be angry, but do forgive. God treats us the same. He has set rules for our behavior, etc; and when we break these rules, we lose fellowship with him. BUT, we need only ask for his forgiveness, and turn away from the behavior, and he quickly forgives us. Isn't this easy to understand ?

WOW, how come all the gay people came out for this question? Here is your answer: yes, it is easy to understand.

As for all the gay loving people out there, guess what, homosexuality IS a sin according to the Bible. Unfortunately most people, especially most "Christians" don't pay any heed to what the Bible says anymore. If you call yourself a Christian and yet say homosexuality is okay, then why read a Bible at all if you choose to ignore it? Thats my question.

Totally easy to understand. But what if you:

1) Don't believe in God.

2) Don't believe in the Christian God.

3) Don't believe in certain viewpoints of the Christian religion.

4) Don't believe that God's will was to condemn homosexuality; that was the spin put onto His word as it was put to paper.

5) Just don't believe homosexuality is bad at all.

Then what?

Moreover, why are you using Yahoo! Answers when you don't ask a real question?

My view of sin:
1. An imaginary affront to an imaginary being.
2. An outdated concept based on Stone Age superstition.

Gosh, thank you so much for that!

You must really care about all us sinners so much to sacrifice your utter godliness to be over here in the LGBT section. But even though you feel icky, you are here on a righteous mission. You know what? You are just like Jesus...oh yes you are!

And do you know what else? I just prayed and for a moment I thought I was forgiven and totally set Straight, but then the more I thought about Jesus, the more I got excited by those beautiful blue eyes and long sexy hair and I got a huge hard on. I guess I am just damned to hell in a big gay hand basket then.

Oh well, thanks for trying to make me righteous.

definite you're crystal sparkling, and may want to no longer be any more desirable gracious. the ingredient is i have self assurance: Sin should be in skill. The gay agenda is operating at warp speed, being pushed as not in any respect in the previous. Hollywood is going to make us Christians settle for gays in the different case push aside us as easily one of your answerer's; label us as "close minded bigots" Homosexuality is only the sin of the day. i do not recognize which one will be next even though it is going to likely be a touch more desirable perverse. "evildoers will strengthen worse and worse" we want all and sundry to love us as we opt to love all and sundry. you're very gracious and loving. now and again we only ought to no longer solid our pearls in the previous swine. that's complicated, and His mercy covers multitudes of sins. God Bless

Yes. But don't forget the "ask forgiveness" and the "turn away" part.. Maybe a better understanding would be to - Repent of sin, Ask forgiveness, Commit the sin no more, Strive to do the will of God.. God Bless.....

Sure, it's easy to understand.

But as one of the other posters said, I don't believe in the Christian God and I don't believe homosexuality is a sin.

I don't believe there's anything wrong with homosexuality as a sexual orientation, period. And I don't believe society should deny them equal rights because some people's religion views them negatively.

Isn't that easy to understand?

Sorry, it's not easy to understand. I hear from Christians that God is forgiving, but then i read the bible and find out that he turns people into salt for looking back at the burning house. Or has people stoned for gathering food on the sabbath. It doesn't make sense!

I have some God given talents. Some of these involve bringing pleasure to men. Are you saying I shouldn't use them?

Genny,
Why do you bother? God loves me and I'm Bisexual. He wouldn't love me more if I were straight. It's not that there is a prerequisite of being straight that God requires, he holds onto those who trust him, and love him-- like I do.

So with your psuedo attempt at preaching the Gospel, you miss the point entirely.

Trust God through Jesus Christ, and love him. Anyone can do that. It does not require Jamesian theology.
