Most people should celebrate Valentines day because of love. But more and more holidays are less about loving someone and more about money.

A pathetic show of "Love"! A time for insincerity when people can make believe they are soooo happy -yuck! Also a time to buy lots of flowers, chocolates and jewelry - so corporate greed is what is being celebrated most!

Most guys don't seem to understand that gifts given on Valentine's Day have more meaning than gifts given on a whim.

I know I'll have a thousand and one women saying how that's not true, but deep down where their inner little girls live, Valentine's Day is a day for wishing and romance. It hurts when that little girl is continually told she's not important enough to even warrant candy. You don't have to tell her that she's not important enough; your inaction will do it well enough.

I am single, and no romance in sight, but I believe people celebrate either because it is fun or they have no good way out of it.
