I want to wear heels, but I've always worn flats if i had to wear dress shoes. 99.9% of the time, i'm in tennis shoes. I honestly walk like a guy-- i put my heel down then roll to the ball of my foot. I want to learn how to walk in heels and look like i know what i'm doing, instead of looking like a bull in a china shop. how do i learn to totally walk differently than i do?

Wear high heels around your house to practice. Try to walk in them for a few minutes and build up the time.

If you are still having a hard time, try wearing wedges. Wedges offer a bit more support and then attempt to wear heels again.

there was a girl i danced with that walked the same way that you do but in order to do certain moves properly, one needs to land on your toes first...so, what she did was she just walked around on her toes for a while and would just practice landing toe heel...you need to practice walking the correct way...i've been dancing since i was little so heels have never been a problem for me but i think that once you put on a pair of heels, it'll be too hard for you to go heel toe..it seems like that takes a lot of extra effort...hopefully you'll just get used to it...otherwise, just practice while you're wearing your sneakers...i hope this convoluted answer helps :)

get a pair, and practice at home....wear them around the house and maybe try to sway your hips a little bit at the same time, like you're walking on a thin sidewalk and you don't want to get those shoes dirty. once you've mastered that, you should be fine
