Number 1. He definitely was muslim.
Number 2.The jury is still out but evidence points to the fact that he was tied to radical elements in the Salt Lake area.
Number 3. He was the son of immigrated muslim Bosnians.
He sure could be what the asker says he is but its just speculation at this time. It's easy in these times to assume the worst. However, that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to potential enemies in the name of "enlightened tolerance". You don't turn away from a charging bull just because he might get hurt feelings from your uneasy glance. Bad analogy I know, but its all I can scrape from the bottom of my brain at the moment. In other words, you can still be suspicious without flying off the handle or going off the deep end.

Maybe. That's right. And maybe that this man is a Muslim.....let him be what he wants to be.... But the mall is full of people, so shooting them means killing according to Islam, moreover it's a sin that God doesn't pardon 99%. " who killed a soul without a purpose is like who killed the entire humanity". This is a Quranic verse which emphasizes that killing (even one person) is a big crime. And I agree that there are many people laying in. They practiced their terrorism in USA mostly, here you should ask why... sure nothing justifies this, but they hate USA because it has planted hatred in their countries. And the best way to fight those groups is to shake hands with them...yes..shake hands... not killing people in Afghanistan because GWB thinks that Bin Laden is hiding there. It's a war against all Arabs not that bunch of people.

An isolated case...How many shootings happened all over the world,by people who were not Muslims and had absolutely no connection with Islam? I don't remember hearing ,when I saw those news, that "a christian killed" ,no ,it was "a man killed"...
Here are some examples:http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0777958.html

Are you aware that it is illegal to shout "Fire!" in a crowded theater when there is no cause to think there's a fire?
Don't you see that you are doing something rather similar?
Suppose for a moment that you were a left-handed teenager who wears glasses. Now suppose that some incident occurred where a left-handed teenager committed a crime, and imagine how you would react to people who said, in effect, "Watch out for all those teenage lefties - they're out to get you!"

Israeli-Arab Sheikh Raad Salah, who heads the radical Islamic Movement, has issued a call for an "Intifada" of Israel's Arabs.
The leaders of Jordan, Syria and Iran, as well as Islamic chiefs in Egypt, has all condemned the work. "The world of Islam should show a serious reaction to the Zionist regime's insult to Al-Aksa Mosque," Iranian Islamic ruler Ayatollah Ali Khameini said on Wednesday and has called on Muslim nations to attack Israel in response.

Jihadists today invoke the Quran to justify the worst terrorist crimes. Throat slitting of infidels is mentioned in the Quran. Al-Mawardi (d. 1058), the prominent 11th century jurist quoted this verse, specifically, « When you encounter those who deny (the Truth) then strike (their) necks. » (Quran 47 :4), in his learned discussion of jihad. This ritual execution is also mentioned in other Muslim legal texts and in narratives of Christian and prominent Muslim historians. Today it is performed against infidels and recorded on videotape for the edification of Muslim audiences.

Does not matter what tribes are they from.
The problems is why are they self destructing themeselves with self annihilation to self extinction in planet of apes.
Decode this lyrics "Candle in the wind"
Ever wonder why are they living in misery in planet of apes?
What is missing inside them to keep them burning alight in planet of apes?
After all they all master the ghostly kitchen's ghost stories and ghostly modern history of failures and horrors of the past in ghostly kitchen's dialect that were suppose to be success of ancestor's custom in planet of apes.
Ever wonder how the mess was created?
Ever wonder what went wrong with them in planet of apes?
Look at the living examples in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and Tak Bai in Thailand in planet of apes.
What were the misery of those poor children were trying to communicate with us in planet of apes?
