Number 1. He definitely was muslim.
Number 2.The jury is still out but evidence points to the fact that he was tied to radical elements in the Salt Lake area.
Number 3. He was the son of immigrated muslim Bosnians.
He sure could be what the asker says he is but its just speculation at this time. It's easy in these times to assume the worst. However, that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to potential enemies in the name of "enlightened tolerance". You don't turn away from a charging bull just because he might get hurt feelings from your uneasy glance. Bad analogy I know, but its all I can scrape from the bottom of my brain at the moment.In other words, you can still be suspicious without flying off the handle or going off the deep end.

Maybe. That's right. And maybe that this man is a Muslim.....let him be what he wants to be.... But the mall is full of people, so shooting them means killing according to Islam, moreover it's a sin that God doesn't pardon 99%. " who killed a soul without a purpose is like who killed the entire humanity". This is a Quranic verse which emphasizes that killing (even one person) is a big crime. And I agree that there are many people laying in. They practiced their terrorism in USA mostly, here you should ask why... sure nothing justifies this, but they hate USA because it has planted hatred in their countries. And the best way to fight those groups is to shake hands with them...yes..shake hands... not killing people in Afghanistan because GWB thinks that Bin Laden is hiding there. It's a war against all Arabs not that bunch of people.

An isolated case...How many shootings happened all over the world,by people who were not Muslims and had absolutely no connection with Islam? I don't remember hearing ,when I saw those news, that "a christian killed" ,no ,it was "a man killed"...
