Why should it be changed? That's like changing the lyrics to the star spangled banner. If you don't like it don't say it. It's been around for centuries, so why? I never understood why they would change something just because a bunch of athiests are up in arms about it.
And just for the record I"m an agnostic.

When I was a child, oh so many years ago, there were a few kids in every class who did not stand to recite the Pledge of Allegiance with the rest of the class. Nobody fainted, protested, or really much cared about that one way or the other..it was their and and their parent's choice.
It is like offensive shows on TV, or movies in theaters, if you don't like that kind of thing...don't watch it! But for the love of God, small minorities of pissy people really need to stop telling everybody else how to think.

I personally think it should stay the way it is. If you don't like it the that's kool. If someone is so secure in their beliefs then it wouldn't bother them for someone else to have their own beliefs. After all it is freedom of speech. If someone doesn't agree with it then just don't say it. Simple as that! Why change something that has been that way for YEARS! It's like trying to fix something that isn't broken.

Absolutely not.
Secularity of government, of one's adult citizenship, of the marketplace of lives (of people interacting in a society) has nothing to do with religious non-practiced beliefs at all.
You're free to believe what you chose only if you DON'T live under types who force you to repeat their slogans and make you say you believe what they believe at gunpoimt.
If you believe the world is not enough, enter a monastery.
if you believe in realism, check your ideas back against reality, to see if they work--not against Jerry Falwell's insane rantings or someone's misinterpretation of a three-thousand-year old passage in a book rewritten by crazed Greeks a thousand years later to create messiah cultism.
