I would like to instal overhead tank in bldg by removing M S Tank which has been corroded and would like to ask, whether cement tank should be made or plastic sintex should be installed, bec water becomes hot in plastic tank, kindly give your valuable opinion.

There are fiberglass tanks made.
The concret would be quite heavy.
Personaly I would look at setting it at or bellow ground level but that also depinds upon how large the tank is and for what the tank is used for.

Cement tanks can store huge quantities of water indefinitely whereas plastic cannot hold huge quantities of water for a long time and it can lose shape and also break which can cause damage to the building.So, overhead tank in building should be made of cement.

Cement tank collects algae (green substance) at the bottom, and leads to accumulation of bacteria. Cleanin g is also difficult.Lots of scrubbing with bleachingpowder is needed. Hence plastic tank is better.

If you are interested in long life of tank,go for cement tank
If you are interested in short life(up to 5 years) go for plastic

no sorry the over head tank should be kept has a plastic /sintex it will be good fr cleaning every month

but in cement tank we could not clean properly

Both are good enough but for once it is Platic tank is better/cheep/essy to install/can be replaced in future as per your requirments/available tailer made according to your required sizes.

Plastic is lighter. Can in due course be also changed without much labour and effort.

The remotely-operated trap doors underneath the conference room seats will really drive the cost up.
