I have a Epson Stylus CX 6400 all in one scanner/printer.It has 3 slots in the front for camera cards.I know nothing about digital cameras but I want to purchase one to use with my printer.Only I don't know which ones to look at.I bought the printer from a private party so I have no manuel.I will tell you what the 3 slots say and we will see if someone out there can solve this problem for me.
1st = xD/SM
2nd= SD/MS

3rd= CF

Can someone tell me what to look for?
Something simple like snap and shoot. The easiest ones please!

Your Epson printer will be compatible with any type of digital camera. For example;

Hewlett-Packard, Kodak, Canon cameras use SD memory cards
Fuji and Olympus cameras use xD memory cards
Some older cameras use CF cards.

SD is the most common memory card (and usually the cheapest). If you don't know anything about digital cameras, I would recommend to you the HP (Hewlett-Packard) Photosmart R725 (called the R727 at Best Buy). This camera has a great resolution and in my honest opinion, is the most user-friendly camera on the market. The menus on the camera are very easy to navigate and the camera has a lot of special features. I bought this camera for my mom and she loves it. It takes great pictures and even has a decent video mode. It is also a very compact camera. This camera takes an SD card which will work fine with your Epson printer.

I've included a link that shows a photo of the camera and some information about in case you want to know more.

I have had very good luck with HP ink, even sitting idle over months it doesn't seem to dry out. I recommend that you steer clear of Epson!! I had HUGE problems with an Epson Stylus Photo printer... apparently because we didn't use it for a while, the ink dried out... but not within the cartridge, somewhere within the works of the printer. They're designed differently than, say an HP and one of the guys at Staples says that Epson is known for ink problems because of it. This printer is next to useless now unless we can get it cleaned somewhere.
