How do I get an even, redness-free face? I have some breakouts sometimes and I use Proactiv. Has anyone used Aveenos Ultra Calming lotion or cleanser? Does it work? thanks

ps..it's not rosacea

Proactiv hasn't helped with the redness. I've been using it for a year now. Everyday like I'm supposed to

Try the Eucerin Redness Relief Kit. For product info. click on this link: http://www.eucerinus.com/products/face_err_kit.html

You may want to see a dermatologist because you might not be dealing with acne. You might have rosacea which is a similar condition.

I had a similar experience and went to a dermatologist who identified the problem. The doctor prescribed the appropriate topical treatments and they worked.

All you need is a toner. Using Proactive, the whole system, will take care of that problem, but don't be lazy like me and skip it. Just think, if you want pretty skin, it only takes a few minutes in the morning and a few minutes in the evening and that's it. Never go to bed with makeup on and wash your pillow cases once a week or once every two weeks. Also, wash your hair at least every other day.

There is an Rx topical cream that kicks butt- Benzaclin. It contains the stuff in Proactiv (benzoyl peroxide), as well and clindamycin (antibiotic). I've been using it with my AcneFree (which, by the way, has worked for me as well as Proactiv), and I am so relieved at how much better my face looks. Proceed with caution - like I said, it requires an Rx, so your skin might be sensitive, but it's nothing like Accutane.
Good Luck

Keep using proactive and use some foundation to help out with that.

maybe you should go to a department store and ask one of the ladies who sells moisturizers and makeup, they should know something about your condition...or if they don't, i really would suggest going to a dermatologist and get it looked at...
