I think that it will be interesting seeing a mormon go into the south... I live in the south and, to be frank, they don't know what mormons are and they don't want to know...
I could see that being a huge problem... both in the primaries (which I don't think he can get past) and the general election...
he's solid on most conservative "issues" it seems though, more so than Rudy or McCain... so who knows...

Romney and Guiliani I think show the best promise out of the Republicans running. Romney was governor, Guiliani mayor. Most of the other people running are senators, which historically do not get elected as President very often. Most of our presidents have been former governors. Both of them are pretty moderate and both are from states with lots of Democrats. Romney is a Mormon, which is different as I'm not sure how some of the Christian coalition types will like him, but he has good values. Guiliani might have the best chance against Hillary etc, as he is very liked and respected and is very well known in a positive way.
McCain is a senator and he has had a flip flop problem as well as a temperment problem. Many of the others running are not as well known but there are some other solid candidates like Tom Tancredo, but he is not as well known.

As a republican I see no good candidates yet - but, on the same hand the Democrats have the same, no-one appealing also. Except for the hype on women as President or a first black President(who majority of blacks don't endorse), all token tickets, the Democratic party really has nothing else.
Americans has really no good choice on either side to work with, but hypocrites and blame dodgers. This will be an awful 2008 election results for the country in general, and without using parties to blame for it. The entire congress needs overhauling, with people who will be truthful, concerning, and decisive. Guess I'm asking for too much...LOL

Romney is more beneficial average yet i'd imagine the Tea celebration human beings would vote for him because they prefer Obama even a lot less and maximum will be vote casting hostile to Obama. a worry-free false impression is that all and diverse Tea celebration human beings are Republicans because many Independents and Libertarians are Tea celebration contributors. There is also some Democrats who also imagine we are Taxed sufficient Already.

I think he can get the GOP nomination. However, he flip flops a lot and is a hypocrite who panders to the voting base that will get him most votes. I don't trust him. There is something about him that is unsettling. He ran as a pro-choice, pro-business Republican in Massachusetts but now he is a right-winger. All of this happening near election time. I think he doesn't have any true convinctions.

Let's hope not. It takes being from Massachusetts to know how badly he really performed. That's why the Republicans were finally voted out of office here, in large part because of Romney. Why anyone voted for him in the first place is quite beyond me. He's not even from Massachusetts. He was a crappy governor and anyone who votes for him is going solely on his charisma and toothy smile. He lacks substance, virtue and integrity, making him a perfect Republican Presidential candidate.

There is no help for Republicans. There is no help for Democrats. They are both globalist tools bent on the destruction of the United States. If you are going to vote for a Republican vote for Ron Paul. He is a Republican in name only. A good man who believes in what the Constitution says.
Seriously, look at the Democrats and the Republicans. Look at what they have done to this country. Do you really want to vote for either of them? Are you just going to vote for "the lesser of two evils"? Wake up! The lesser of two evils is STILL EVIL! Why vote for evil?
Make a REAL change in this country and support good men like Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo and parties like the Libertarian and Constitution Parties.
Google Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo and see what these men stand for.

If Romney is the best the Republicans can do and Hillary and Obama is the best the Democrats can do, my fellow Americans we are doomed. Let me get a head start by being the first to welcome our new Mexican or Chinese overlords.

From the candidates so far I think Romney may be the answer for them if they will allow a Mormon in a other wise Evangelical dominated party. While a conservative as you say he has had to work with democrats and has had some success. Still I could not bring myself to vote for him as I think that America has had enough of repuglican philosophy of ever man for himself and my neighbor be damned.
