The North Koreans, for the time being, have agreed to cease all nuclear development in exchange for a tremendous energy/fuel package from multiple nations. Do you think in the future, nuclear-aspiring nations will threaten development simply to receive an incentive package?

There us not much choice in this particular circumstance. North Korea can unload about 30,000 artillery rounds onto Seoul Korea in about an hours time. The South Koreans as a whole also does not have the stomach for a fight. Their lives are pretty good as of now and if North Korea were to become part of an entire korea, the standard of living for the South would be reduced by 30%. Couple that with the North Koreans having the largest commando force in the world and a country that doesn't have much to lose and that equals a very dangerous cornered dog. Yes, they got a fuel package but their country cannot exist in its current state for the rest of its existance. Let the more prosperous countries wait them out. This may be longer, but will not cost as many lives.

What crisis?

They have the U.S. equivalent of seven dollars in the bank, some plutonium and some bottle rockets which can barely reach Japan.

They aren't looking to attack anybody - they just want a microphone on the world stage.
