I can't remember what the rules are when working with (multiplying, dividing, adding, and subtracting) mixed fractions.
Examples: (2/9)(3 and 7/10)
7and 5/12 + 3 and 5/8
You get the point. Thank you for your help!

Turn each mixed fraction into a simple fraction first.

Multiply the whole number by the denominator. Then add the numerator. This total is the new numerator. The denominator remains the same.

Multiplication= just straight across (4/5 x 2/8= 8/40 which can reduce to 1/5)
Division= use the recipricol (4/5 divided by 2/8 would be 4/5 x 8/2 and multiply straight across)
addition and subtraction= find a common denominator then add the top or subtract the top numbers keeping the bottom numbers the same. 1/2 + 2/8 would be 4/8 + 2/8= 6/8 and then reduce to 3/4. Whatever you need to do to the bottom #'s to get the denominators the same you need to do to the top. if you mult. the bottom by 4 mult. the top by 4.
