Depends where you live - cold weather climates cost more. Also, new construction tends to be much more energy efficient than older homes. If you are interested in a particular house, you can usually call the local power company and they can tell you the average bill for that address.

There are too many variables to get a good answer here. Area of the country, how warm you like it, how many gas appliances, and gas or electric heat all change the amount of gas you use.

Call your gas company. They should be able to give you at least a 12 month usage history on your address.
