Never, because he's the heart and soul of the San Antonio Spurs offense and defense.

I thought he deserved it in 2005, too, until you think what would have happened if they didn't have Duncan. You can think the same way about Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal on the Lakers, where Kobe should have gotten one but where would he and the others have been without Shaq. Now, that doesn't mean that that one person would have done it by themselves, they needed the others of course.
I don't think his nationality or him being too nice affects him, other than wanting to stay with the Spurs. Whats wrong with the Spurs, though? If he's on the bench its for a reason. He has to earn it back.

He's positively ok with his role off the bench. Barry has been able to score well recently and he has been great as a spark off the bench. He's on one of the best teams and class organizations in the nba and always has a shot at a championship and that's more important than being finals mvp or an allstar, go ask Joe Johnson if you want. And he knows that he'll get his minutes during the playoffs because that's when he comes up, during the clutch season

I read most of your answers that people have posted here and i see the exact reason why teams like the ROCKETS or the T-WOLVES cant win a championship......its not about HAVING THE BEST PLAYERS ON YOUR TEAM!!...its about having ROLE players...Ginobili is a ROLE PLAYER!! he`s on the bench for a reason and he has no problem against it...he was playing crappy for a while and as soon as it hit the bench, what happened? he started scoring and driving in alot more..getting to the line....its a wake up call from POP to MANU! and to the person who said parker wasnt that good....maan u must not watch that much ball!! he can score, the only reason why he hasnt scored as much lately is beacuse POP asked him to SET UP HIS PLAYERS MORE....the only person who should be traded is maybe OBERTO...but i doubt Manu is going anywhere....

I think you are wrong, Half of their team is from another country, so being nice has nothing to do with it, Tony Parker (France) is the Point Guard, the toughest position on the court, and is worthy of being an All Star because no one in the league can keep him from going to the hole consistently, you have a point on Manu being MVP in the finals, but who would Manu replace in the All Star game..Kobe? T Mack ? Shawn Merrion....I don't think so.

i may not be a big spurs fan, but watching their games i know that he holds a very important role coming off the bench. he was great when he started, but i believe he is even better as the reserve. when he is called up, he brings energy and quickness which is needed at times when the team is down or tired. it has nothing to do with his race or personality. he's a good player (yet also flops like a maniac) but tony has proven through the years that he deserves to be the starting point guard.

Ginobli is not the second best player on the Spurs anymore. He had a few good years but he's back to being a mediocre point/shooting guard. He's not going to be saught after by very many other good teams. To answer the question simply: yes.

International prospects are risky, they can either turn out to be the next Dirk or the next Darko... It's like a gamble that can pay off, it worked for the Spurs so that's why they do it.

I odn't know. It matters who would want him. He's in a good position right now. He doesn't have to be the best or the second best. There's no pressure. He's good, but he's not a leader. He might be, because he did lead Argentina, but he atleast needs to be somewhere with some good talent behind him if he's the #1 guy. i would like to see him for the Cavs.
