I always like to be in the middle somewhere. I would say the best position to be would be #3 or #4. At #3 you would be guarenteed at least one of these - ARod, Pujols, Johan Santana. The #4 would have Vlad, Soriano, Ryan Howard, Carl Crawford or Miguel Cabrera. Really, you can't go wrong with anything in the first round ... that is 8 possibles, all would be available in the 1st somewhere, and you couldn't be disappointed with any of them.

Top 5 Busts? Hmmmm...
Derek Jeter
Jim Thome
Randy Johnson
Bobby Abreu
Disusake (SP?) Matsuzaka

Surprise Player?
Homer Bailey and Philip Hughes

Definatley around the 4th or 5th spot much more "quality" players instead of a High end Then a Low end, either there or even the last spot in the draft so you get back to back picks.

Busts of 2007:

Kenny Rogers getting older faster
Ted Lilly man what a terrible pick up for the Cubs dont like this one at all
Carlos Lee just got a hunch
Luis Gonzalez hes gotta be done by now
and I wouldnt be suprised if Gary Sheffield doesnt do anything now thinking it doesnt matter cause he is not on the Yankees and in the spotlight

The one player that will surprise would be Pelfry from the Mets, see him coming in and just putting out a good season

Wow, the 8 team league kind of changes the complexion as opposed to a 12 team league. I would want to pick fourth. You get a super-elite player in round one (to me there is a small drop after about the top six) and maybe two superstars in the second and third rounds.

5 Busts:

Felipe Lopez - no help
Nomar Garciaparra - done
Frank Thomas - might squeeze out one more decent year
Barry Bonds - "beaned" by Clemens (OK that's my script)
.....and you heard it here first - Johan Santana (12 wins) - not saying he will stink, just not be anywhere near first round pick production.

Surprise:

Kei Agawa (not under the typical NY pressure)

Well there are plenty of guys who are really good, but the middle is rather annoying. In the end it evens out because it's a snake draft.
Sleeper(s): Jeremy Bonderman, Kevin Kouzmanoff (go Padres)
Busts: Brandon McCarthy, Dan Uggla, Raul Ibanez, Frank Thomas
