As of 2006-07, it is unclear whether anyone has been punished for violating the dress code.

I think I heard them mention that Steve Nash did during the Suns recent road trip and he was injured midway through the trip. He ended up wearing someone elses(Piatowski's maybe?) sports jacket and D'Antoni's white collared shirt since he was broadcasting the game with Tom and Dan Majerle during the second quarter. I *think* they mentioned him getting fined for it, but I can't verify this.

My understanding is that no one as of today has been fined for the dress code. At least it's not been publicized.
