No, because she's Caucasian. Her ADOPTIVE father is Lionel Richie. Don't believe everything you read on Wikipedia; it's basically user- run and there's very little checking of the content.

Nicole Richie considers herself African American because of her adopted parents of Lionel and Brenda Richie, so she identifies with that heritage. But her biological parents is white(her mom) and African American/Mexican(her dad). So, she is multiracial.
