Dawn is definately better. When you can take a pan that has burned on foods and soak it overnight in Dawn and the next morning rinse the pan and WALAH it's almost clean. Then all you need to do is wash it and it looks like it was never burned in the first place. That sure sounds like a winner.
Dawn is also known as the grease buster of dish detergents, and it really does absorb the grease.
Stick to dawn and you can't go wrong, smells good, and it is easy on your hands too.
Palmolive will not do that, I know I have tried.

This is 8 years later, but I was just looking up info on Dawn after a 74 year lady told me she used Dawn since it was first introduced on the market, and has tried everything else out there, but always comes back to Dawn, Looks like everybody agrees with her all across the Internet....so Dawn it it. I'll go to the store now.

Dawn is the best. They also have a new Dawn out that takes strong odors out of dishes...like garlic. Great stuff. It's called Dawn Odor Eraser.

Definitely Dawn. Every other answer is right. I use it for stain on clothes, greasy things, and it comes in Antibacterial, so I can use cold water and save$ on gas bill. It may sound gross, but it works, and I'm not the only one who does this.
