I knew that I was gay when I was young but what made it bad for me is that everyone else also knew, I experienced the ridicule, harassment and I didn't accept it and didn't tell anybody that people thought that I was gay and it bothered me. My friend had came out at 15 but I thought it was something that I could change. It wasn't until I turn 23 that I came out for the first time as gay and actually acknowledge I was but people had been questioning my sexuality even when I was 11 years old. I didn't even tell my gay friend that I was gay because it was hard for me to even say the words I'M GAY outloud.

Gay people realize they are different at a very early age,eight or nine. They actually put a label on it later in life when they explore who they are and come to terms with their sexuality.I've known many gay people and many have had experiences like this.
