Yes..... more often then one would think....and it's not fun.

Then again, the voices in my head keep me plenty occupied

Loneliness can occur when you feel unloved.
If you feel like you are not getting the attention you need from others, it's important to let them know. Be specific in telling them what would help you feel better. Let them know if you would like to see them more often. Usually making plans for a certain date and time will yield better results than being vague.

yes, I have been there sometimes. I have also been on the other end, when all it took was to be with one person to feel surrounded and loved... I have learned that it's not quantity, it's quality.... if you have one great friend, it's better than having a thousand aquaintences.

I think that is because you are truely not interested enough in where you are and who you are with. What are your interests? When you know go for it and if that means leaving old friends elsewhere in your schedule DO IT be happy!

yup...i would say it has to do with typical college beginnings...a bunch of kids trying to make friends, but no sincere connections yet. it's a sad thing.
