I see a three team race between the Twins, Tigers, and Indians. The Indians have a great young offense, and Hafner and Sizemore might be two of the 5 best hitters in the AL. Their success hinges on the pitchers behind Sabathia. The Twins had a great year last year and a strong offense behind Mauer and Morneau, but I think they will ultimately be decided by the loss of Liriano, which will keep the Twins from taking it. I don't know if they can compete with the depth of the Tigers, and the offensive addition of Sheffield should help make up for the loss of their only decent lefty in the bullpen. Hopefully it comes down to the last day again.

Tigers, in a close one. Their great starting 3 of Verlander, Bonderman, and Robertson is amazing, and Kenny Rogers and Mike Maroth are solid place holders. Curtis Granderson will get better, and Magglio Ordonez is good as long as he's not injured. If he is, they have Craig Monroe and Marcus Thames in the outfield to. Placido Polanco has a good OBP, and a platoon of Sean Casey and Chris Shelton could work out well. Carlos Guillen continues to be one of the top shortstops in the game, and Brandon Inge is a crazy fielder and a solid hitter. Gary Sheffield is still a very good hitter (hopefully a DH) and Pudge Rodriguez is a good fielder and a veteran presence. The bullpen has Todd Jones , Joel Zumaya, and Fernando Rodney as the top guys. Todd Jones is rather annoying but he's good enough.

nicely it isn't as uncomplicated to win the dept because it become this twelve months. The Royals look like that one team which will come out and function an excellent twelve months. i do not underestimate them. i'd like to say the White Sox will take the dept and not using a query, yet for sure it isn't that trouble-free. to boot my feeling about the Royals; the Twins are continually there so I anticipate them to play their section and the Indians had a nasty twelve months....i don't think of they'd have a nasty twelve months lower back. they purely have too a lot skills on the team. The Tigers are sturdy, yet truly i imagine they purely gained't have sufficient pitching. So i am going to't fairly supply a sparkling shrink one team answer. I do trust that it's going to come right down to pitching and from what we've considered the White Sox and Twins do have the most strong pitching staffs in the dept plus the pitchers are youthful which factors them administration of the dept for years yet to come back. solid question through the way =] right here's a sizeable call.

Ok, I am a die hard indians fan and all, so don't get me wrong when i say this. However, I do not understand why everyone insists that the indians will be good this year. I've been a fan long enough to know always to expecrt the worse from them. Come on this is cleveland were talking about here, when were the ever good, and i don't mean best team in a crap division.

It will take more then gary to get this team to repeat it will take every 1 to work together

Detroit.

Adding Sheffield is huge. The younger players have a taste for winning now. Plus, they still have good veteran leadership from Pudge.

As long as they stay healthy, I see no reason why they can't take the division.
