Here is how it works. Frogs migrate , unless he was born in the pond he will leave on his own. The only time he would come back is for mating "IF" he was born in the pond.
Consider yourself lucky he chose you pond to visit, and remember they eat lots of mosquitos.

Actually, I have caught frogs with my fishing rod. If you can tell exactly where the frog is, stand on the bank, but casting distance away and cast a small rubber worm and hook. Cast past the frog and drag the worm slowly in front of it. It will jump out and take it, but set the hook quickly and use a small hook so you catch it in the mouth and not have the frog swallow it. Transport said frog to the pond of someone you don't like or some body of water in the wild.

For get it. Just tell your neighbors to get a fan that is loud and blow it aganist the wall, the white noise will drown out the frog. Frogs are wonderful, wish I had one in my Koi pond. Good luck! :) arum

It's a benign little critter and I suggest you let him be.
Capturing a frog is not easy.
First, you make sure all your neighbors are out of town before you proceed to run all over the place chasing a tiny, harmless creature like a complete moron.
If you should succeed, grasp the offending intruder (with your hands) and transport it to the nearest creek.
And let him be.

At night, you can shine a spotlight around the pond. The frog will be easier to see, because its eyes will glow when the light hits it. The light also stuns the frog, making it easier to catch. This is how you gig frogs. Of course, gigging involves spearing the frog and killing it. It sounds like you just want to catch it, so use a spotlight and a net.

A BB gun works well on frogs. You just have to sit and wait for it to appear. And I am pretty sure only male frogs croak so thankfully it won't be laying a thousand eggs and hatching more noise makers.

the frogs are attracted to the pond for breeding but they do not like to breed in pond with fish///do you have any koi or goldfish in your pond?
it sounds like the frog might be a tiny spring peeper, the easiest way to get rid of it would be to get a boy that likes frogs to come catch it
