He could be lying about himself...but his story checks out. do you think it's safe to meet at a hotel and have a weekend of sex and fun?? Or am I asking to be beaten and murdered?? I'm tres worried about this. But I really want to 'see' him in person, you know?!? Lemme know what you think?

I would met with a friend or in a public place cuz u just never know there are stories of ppl who have talked to ppl online for a long time and got raped when they met them so I would always be careful when meeting someone offline
dont just met him at his hotel and be alone right away... be safe chickie!

No, I don't think it is a good idea at all. Girl, don't you have any common sense?! If you do, then use it! If you want to meet him, meet in a very public place - a restaurant - in the DAYTIME, and preferably, bring along a friend the first time. Or invite him to a friend's party or something. You need to be careful even though you have talked to him for 5 years.
By the way, whose idea was it to meet at a hotel for sex?

For your first meeting, meet in a public place, let someone know where you will be and who u will be with. You can not trust anyone any more. Good luck!!

Meet in a public, well lit place for starters. And if you click from there, go for it!
Also, make sure your best friend has all of your contact information as to where you will be, just in case.

I'm one of the skeptics, so I definitely wouldn't do it - not the first time anyways. The way I see it is If he's not a jerk he'll probably understand your reasons for wanting to be safe.

Meet him in a crowded area such as the middle of a parade marching band, running with the bulls in barcelona, On a boat with immigrants, or in a fire drill........
