I have a cuvier's bichir that has a bloated body, he eats well but after he eats half an hour later he vomits his food

He's probably not vomiting -- he's probably spitting stuff out. If you have algae in your tank, for example, the fish may nibble on it and then spit it out. Or -- and this is gross, but my molly does it all the time -- the fish may eat his poop (or another fish's poop) and then spit it out when he realizes it's not food. I've never heard of a fish vomiting.

I don't believe fish drink but I know some fish do vomit for instance the hagfish or as it's otherwise known as the slime eel can when annoyed vomit and secrete a protein that reacts with seawater to create a thick mucus.

....uhm... fish don't vomit....vomiting is where you regurgitate food from your stomach... fish don't do that... they spit out their food before they swallow it though.... fish spit out food for various reasons. They might be playing with their food, they might not be hungry, they might not like that particular kind of food, or they might be sick. Try a different type food and watch it to see if it displays any other signs of sickness.

you mite have fed it to much do you have children they mite have tipped lods of food in the tank.

they blow extra food out -- its part of how they chew. if they don't collect it then you need to feed them less.
