Why not declare it unisex? I know both male and females with the name Dana. Lovely name. :)

I have known of 1 guy named Dana and many girls named Dana. I always thought of it as a girls name. I agree with some other people that it is unisex. Can be used for either.
I know one guy who spells it Dana, but pronounces it like Danna. I think that's kinda neat.

first aspect i seen at the same time as interpreting the identify is that it is a gender impartial call. My daughter named her son Dominique after his father which even besides the undeniable fact that feels like it is basically for a lady, seems to be gender impartial. lots of names are gender impartial. For the record, i understand one female named Dana and 2 adult men named Dana. do not difficulty about it!

It's both like Kim or Kelly. There are a few names out there that go either way. And decided by who? I don't think "They" have a committy for that.
