It would not be a huge problem as long as it was one of the large official universities. Those are pretty well known in the USA... people in American universities would recognize it. But if you go into business I think it could be a hassle. Lots of people wouldnt recognize the school. They would have questions about what the courses were, how you were graded, etc. They wouldn't be familiar with the format that your transcript had, and if you needed help from the university staff it would be harder to get in touch and get them to do what you want.
A better plan would be to go to one of the American schools that encourages students to spend time overseas. I think American University in Washington, D.C. is one. You can get your degree from a respected US school, but spend one or two years and some summers in Britain. That would eliminate a lot of future headaches.

Someone posted that the school system in the UK is stronger than that of the US, so I had to jump in. While one could argue that the K-12 schools may be stronger, in general, I would strongly argue that the university system in the US is stronger than that of the UK. Again, speaking in generalities.
That doesn't mean that some of the universities in the UK aren't excellent - they are. Within that, of course, there are specifics. Is Oxford better reputed/stronger than, say, UMass Boston? Yes. Is Harvard better than Oxford? Yes.
As another poster rightly said, so long as you go to one of the better known UK universities, you should be all right getting a job in the US afterwards. However, in addition to the issues he noted, you'll probably face a delay between getting the degree and getting a job, as you'll need to return to the US before you can begin interviewing.
