Ok, heres the deal: I've been on one date with this guy. We're going out tomorrow night for Valentine's day. There's a connection (as far as I can tell), and he seems to be a pretty decent guy. He doesn't seem desperate to get me in bed right away, but seems to want to get to know me better. I've always been in relationships around this time of year, so I'm clueless as to whether I should get him anything or not. Any suggestions?

I would say nothing more than a heartfelt Happy Valentine's Day! It is way too early for anything, one date doesn't bind at all!! Don't even worry about paying for dinner, who ever made the date should pay!

Honestly, i wouldent get him anything. You have only gone out on one date. Just buy him i nice card or something & tell him Happy Valentines Day. I am pretty sure he will be happy just with that, if he really cares about you.

Eh I would get a card, but more than that might scare him away, saying that you want much more of a commitment and if he brings you a gift then you can always cover your self by saying that you planned to pay for dinner... :)

I wouldn't get him anything unless your boyfriend/girlfriend, but I would do something nice like pay for a movie or a dinner, something nice like that would work really well.

Physical gifts are for more like celebrating love that exists, but if your still developing that love, then you should do something little like that to show that the feelings are growing.

Something small, like a cute/flirtatious card would be cool--not
too much yet still acknowledging that it's Valentine's Day.

Get him a comical card. It's too early for something more significant. Maybe a lottery ticket to put in it.

Id probably carry a present just in case he gets you something. So that if he actually does then you arent empty handed.
