If he's a sports guy, definatelty a hat, jersey,or t-shirt to represent his favorite team. Can't go wrong with that and it's nothing over the top that would send him off if he's afrid of commentment.

I'm in kinda similar situation. So I'm gonna share with you, just as an idea.
My bf and I've been together for about a month and half. He gave me an early Valentine's Day gift -- a necklace with his initial as a pendant. So I'm getting him 30 stems of roses, and two pairs of Armani boxer shorts. It's still early in the relationship but he already did so much for me. I wanted to show him my appreciation.

I like to make up basket with my guys favorite things in it. If you've been dating for a month you should know a few things about him... what kind of soda does he like? Does he like any specific candy? Cookie? Fast Food Restaraunt? Colonge? Does he smoke? If so what kind? Drink if so his favorite?
You can keep it as cheap/simple as you like, or as expensive/elaborate as you want....
I usually get one bigger thing, like cologne (you could get a small bottle), or a movie that just came out, or a rolled up t-shirt, and then fill it up with smaller stuff like little candies, a couple sodas, restaraunt gift card/certificates, travel sized axe/ tag body sprays deoderant, etc...
It's fun to buy and put together and it shows that you pay attention to what he likes....

Chocolates are always a good gift. Depending on how things are going, try baking something like cookies or brownies

If you're still not intimate, then get him a card and something like a movie theater gift certificate that you two can use to go to the movies together.
If you're already intimate, then consider something like a special cologne you like, a playful sex toy, or simply some chocolate sauce for the bedroom.

I suggest a card that tells him how much you enjoy spending time with him, and a small gift like homemade brownies or a CD.
Good luck, and I hope this helps! :)

In my opinion, readymade shirt (or trouser) would be ideal or you can give him after shave lotion or perfume.
