We do use a common economy. In most cases in the past, communism is just another means of having the rich and powerful lord it over the weak. Its never worked very well in practise although it might look nice on paper.

Everyone on this planet could share the same economy and do to a degree, no money leaves the planet but money does leave countries. Currencies are converted, and rates are exchanged. I know what you are getting at though I believe, trade laws are different country to country. there would be one large piggy bank and would have to be one large treasurer and one large executive and judicial branch. What would be the purpose of this? this would satisfy what end? America and china having a joint bank account is like two competing business men opening a joint bank account.

Go ahead talk about communism, because that is what joining all the worlds economies would lead to anyway. A big socialist world. I need to go see what globalization is again..

The world does have a common economy. Take a look at the products you buy on any given day. Chances are they were manufactured in another country. You would be hard pressed to find any product that is not traded on the global marketplace.

Communism does not work for a number or reasons, and it would take too long to explain why here. There have been volumes written about the failure of communism.

All of us are in a Global economy. Each of us lives in a soverign nation. Each nation "calls its own shots" as to what type of economy it will have, what type of government it will have, what type of society it will have.

If everyone shared a common economy, who would be the "Boss"? Who decides which person(s) will be "Boss"? Are they "Boss" for life? Or for how long? Who decides that?

Communist countries still have poor people because that system doesn't work. Neither does socialism. There is no incentive to improve, or to work hard. Human nature gets in the way. These are "Share the Poverty" Systems". They don't create anything worthwhile.

Everyone in the world, except for isolated pockets in jungles and the like, does share a common economy of capitalism whether they like it or not.

There are however subsections of this economy that attempt to work in a communist or socialist manner within some prescribed region.
