Hi. I've a couple of jazz-music based websites, and I wish to record videos of concerts and post them online. I'm a mac user. What is the best format, at present, for online videos?

MPEG-4 is the best for video on the web. Actually, not sure if it will work for your application, but if you upload them (for free) to utube.com it makes it a LOT easier for people to watch them. They don't need "special" software, because utube works with more players.

If you have Final Cut Pro on the Mac, export the video, pick QuickTime Compressor, then choose MPEG4 from the menu.
