I, however, did not forget my birthday. Given the choice, I would have preferred to die in the private warmth of the maternal body. To die before a consciousness developed. To transform myself into the streams of blood that would survive the black earth. Mother may have shared that wish when things were going badly between us. At the very thought that, on the day I was born, Mother, still lying in her bloody bed, had clasped me in her arms with a creator's pride, a giver's grace, and an owner's caution, I couldn't help but believe that the day of my birthday was already the day of my defeat. No one had asked my opinion before casting me out into the world. So I hoped they would at least allow me to choose the time of my departure.

I wrote this and it would be nice if you guys gave me your opinion on it and answered some of my questions.. thanks. :)

You want my opinion... I am very honest and critical. But you asked....
To answer your first question, I am not puzzled, intrigued, or horrified and definitely not impressed. The only emotions I felt were very cold, uncaring and unconnected.
Your use of language was not appealing to me but rather rough.
The mood of this passage was very somber and dark.
The best passages was, "No one had asked my opinion before casting me out into the world." I tend to agree with this statement but being a believer in fate, an opinion is not necessary. Your piece in NOT well crafted and does not use correct grammar. I definitely did not find it beautiful, but rather disturbing. Do you hate your mother? I did find it very graphic with the use of words like "bloody" and "black earth." The piece did make me think of why anyone would write something like this.
I am really not a negative person, but I am sure you wanted my true opinion or you wouldn't have asked. You will probably pick someone who agrees with everything you say. If I wanted you to pick my answer as the best, I would have not been truthful. But I think this answer will be the most honest of all the ones you get. It is really not a bad passage, it just needs additional information before and after it. Thank you for asking us to do this... it was fun!
