Yes completely normal..I noticed cramps and backache like my period was coming 2 weeks before my period was due...I took a test 4 days before my period was due because i was trying for another baby and couldnt wait 4 more days and it came back positive,,,I could have sworn though that my period was going to start any day with those cramps..i still get them off and on and im 4 months pregnant now..good luck.

I'm not a doctor, but in the first four months of my pregnancy I had those pains when I otherwise would be having my period. Don't know what month you're in, but if it's fairly early on, my guess is that it's probably normal. (I had really severe cramps at one point in the first trimester and they sent me to the emergency room to make sure everything was okay. Turned out all was well, and I was glad they were extra-cautious.) So I would mention it to your doctor -- he/she would be the best judge of things because they know your medical history. If you get concerned, call the night advice line. Good luck!

yes it is normal. When you are pregnant, especially at first, it seems like the same pains that you would get when your having your period. It is normal because your stomach is just preparing to grow and have baby inside of you. Just hang in there and all will be okay.

Yes, if it is associated with any bleeding (spotting or otherwise) I would contact your doctor. However, it is normal to get cramps when you would normally have your period while pregnant. This is because of uterus growth. Also, you may also get cramps when you are farther along. These cramps are normally caused by ligaments stretching. It never hurts to give your doctors office a call and express your concerns to them. They can reassure you.

15 weeks and 6 days

Yes, period type pains are normal because your uterus is stretching and a lot of changes are going on in there. Any spotting though should be checked out by your doctor. Just keep an eye on it and take it easy. Good luck!

Um...some people's contractions feel like period cramps, but other folks feel like a big horse is doing a bunch of back kicks in their uterus. I think you should call your doctor and also check the WebMD web site. Good luck

I think that it is, but I not doctor myself! All that I can say is go to a emergency room, because I was told that when i start having those pains that the baby is ready to come out!

I don't think it is normal; it would be indicative of labor or a miscarriage. If you are due time the pains. If you are not due please call your doctor or go to the ER. [Is this your first pregnancy? Labor feels like cramps. Only worse.]

Yes, very normal. Unless the cramping is severe and/or accompanied by bleeding, you don't need to worry.

I believe that may be a warning sign. Call your doc, or a doc ASAP. Better to be safe than sorry.
