Ok here's the deal... What do you do if you are not sextualy active but your period is irregular! i have had my period for three years but it is still not regular. Sometimes it comes 2 months in a row but then i will go for 5 months with nothing and the worst part of it all is that it is making me gain weight and i am sick of being this way! HELP PLZ

i used to be like that too. went to gyno i got checked for stuff but said i was alright. i've been on the pills and my period has been regular but it will probably come back to being irregular again if get off pills. check with you gyno

This all sounds normal but if the irregularity is driving you nuts, then go get on birth control pills. They aren't just for preventing pregnancy. they can regulate your periods and decrease cramping. You may experience some weight gain, just plan for this and watch what you eat and get a bit more exercise.

The best doctor to see is an Endocrinologist (specialist in hormonal disorders).

Irregularity is due to either a hormonal imbalance or PCOS - both treatable by an Endocrinologist.
It sounds like you have PCOS.

You may have a thyroid problem that can cause the weigh gain and the missed periods.You really need to see your doctor. Good luck.

You could go on the pill - it makes you regular as clockwork. Talk to your doctor and they'll find one that will be best for you.

you should see your doctor, not to scare you but you might have PCOS
