LaDanian Tomlinson,
Shaun Alexander,
Tiki Barber,
Deuce McAllister,
Reggie Bush,
Edgerrin James

Reggie Bush has the potential to be the best but right now these players are in this order

First off you have to scratch off Bush for lack of years. Then in my personal order whether I like them or not.
1. LaDanian Tomlinson (proved it this year)
2. Larry Johnson (he is that impressive and you can't leave him off this list)
3. Shawn Alexander (got hurt and still was a stud on the field.)
4. Tiki Barber (He played like Tiki)
5. Edgerrin James (On a passing team)

first off, why is edgerrin james and why is mccallister on the list. james proved he can only fourish with an awesome offensive line and legendary passing game backing him up... McCalister is a good running back, but c'mon, no sane person other than mccalister hismelf will call him the best. that leaves bush, LT, alexander, and tiki. bush is too young, has shown explosiveness, but not enough consistnecy to be on a top 5 list. between LT, tiki, and alexander, its not as easy. u cant just say LT for one season. i wouldn't pick tiki because he is not an every down, every situation back (see goal line). alexander is more of a power runner than LT. both are awesome in the red zone, so id take LT because of his home run ability. alexander cant score an 80 yard touchdown. alexander isnt a great receiving back. LT will go down as best ever if he stays consistent (1300 15 td)

well you would have to look at consistancy of each player.without looking at this i would have to say just based off this season and the impact each had for there respective teams i would list them in this order (mind you i am an avid seahawks fan) LaDanian Tomlinson, Duce McCallister, Reggie Bush, Tiki Barber, Sean Alexander, Edgerrin James.but hey thats just me if you really want to know look at the numbers and not the ones from games that were blow outs for there respective teams but look at the hard earned yards you may be very supprised at what you may find.

Ladanian Tomlinson-Proven e is the best in the league right now. Doesn't have a bunch of flashy moves but he is fast and cannot be brought down.
Deuce Mcallister-Solid RB who can pound it in. He is the Jab and bush is the knockout.
Shaun Alexander-Good back who had trouble due to his injury. he will be back.
Reggie Bush-Young guy but has amazing athletic ability. Could be one of the best playmakers on this list but he is not a solid 300 carry rb. Great reciever also and returner.
Tiki Barber-He was a good back who pick up yards and lead his team. Bye.
Edgerrin James-Very dissapointing aquisition for the Cards. A good Hb but he could not get it done behind that line

Its Shaun not sean and Deuce not duce or duece

LaDanian Tomlinson. In my dream world he will play for the Denver Broncos someday and help them to a Super Bowl..... Tiki is great too. Can't believe he retired in his prime.

I'm sick of the LT hype. Maybe when he's putting up stats and breaking serious records like a Jim Brown or Walter Payton then we can start calling him "the best ever". Plus did you see that crybaby BS he pulled. I can seriously say that Sweetness would've never approved.

With that being said, with the group that you named (by the way where did you come up with that?) given the circumstances with Tiki retiring and Shaun being hurt then LT would probably be the best out of that bunch. But only because of the lack of better RB's named.
