Could homosexuality be a form of demonic possesion?

My Pastor suggested that homosexuality may in fact be a form of demonic possesion- If its true, its a shocking thing, becuse its means satan has many agents waklking among us-How can we drive out these demons? If a homosexual gives his heart to Jesus, I'm convinced that would drive out the homo-demon. Notice how most homosexuals are athiests? By rejecting God's light, they basically open themselves up to Satan's inluence

Firstly I am gay, secondly I was raised in a Mennonite family. So i am quite certain i know a thing or two about religion and homosexuality. Demonic possession as far as I know does not affect young children who are christian and also i am quite certain that i have had homosexual urges since i can remember, that guy toweling himself off in the zest commercial always did something to me. Also something else that your pastor should probably tell you and know himself is that starting rumors such as these are a sin and if you don't repent for these actions then you and your pastor will be burning in the fiery pits that your "faith" has condemned us to. Oh and something else you and your faith whichever denomination you happen to be should understand is that God is my judge and no man on earth has the authority to condemn.

That being said you may want to try and do some homework in a non-forum type environment before you alienate and offend an entire group of people, yeah people not demons. Because something you should know is that there are more than likely more homosexuals then there are devout Christians, and that might not be the case if it wasn't for the fact that homosexuals either have to hide their true nature or fight for equality in church. So please stop the ignorant bad mouthing and your people may not need to try so hard to fill a church.

I believe in the Bible and Jesus Christ. I have also been homosexual since birth. I cannot remember a time that I have not
felt this way. I do not believe that I have a demonic spirit. I do believe, however, that the church and public in general has too often tried to demonize homosexuals without trying to seriously help them. I would give anything to live the traditional lifestyle. I feel that many opportunities have been lost to me because of my orientation. Homosexual but not proud and already condemned by a homophobic society.

maybe in a far-fetched isolated incidence type way, but as a way of life, i would not think so. it is more likely that it is a naturally occurring anomally in life, that would be why there are homo-sexual and asexual creatures of all kinds, including dogs, cattle, and earthworms, and i dont find it fair to imply that most homosexuals have rejected god, rather i think organized religion has by and large, rejected homosexuality. i can find no where in the new testament where i as a christian, am instructed to reject or even judge my fellow man, especially for what is for lack of better terminology, nothing more than a birth defect. it is most likely that the sense of exestitialism, the ex-communication from 'normal,' or ' moral' society sometimes results in the self-destructive, sometimes abberrant behavior connected with one segment of homosexual sub-culture that your pastor is comparing to demon possession, suggesting the devils real work is on a slightly more 'sacred' echelon that is or should be comfortable for any parishiner.

I also question your statement that most homosexuals are atheists? (I assume you meant atheist - the spelling is uncertain) Many are members of religious groups and have strong religious beliefs.

Possesion? No, that would mean everyone who sins is under demonic possesion. I'm sure you sinned before, so that means your under possesion.

Homosexuality is a sin and and an immoral act, some homos have a religion, but they don't truely worship God because God hates homosexuality, not the people, but the act.

It's very hard to get gays to know the truth because the believe they were born that way.

Honestly dude, you need to get to know some gay folks on a friendly level (and no, I don't mean it that way). Just acquaintances. You'd see, we're just normal folks who have a bit of a twist when it come to what turns us on. It's not 100% of who we are.

And is it no surprise there are a lot gay atheist? Who'd want to be part of a group that constantly calls you evil, or "demon possessed" when in your heart of hearts, you know that it is not true.

Homosexuality is not a form of demonic possession.
When a homosexual gives his heart to Jesus he does not automatically cease to be a homosexual.
Homosexuality is a psychological factor. (I know, some say it is genetic, but bear with me!)
A lot of counselling and inner healing is needed before a person moves away from homosexual feelings to heterosexual feelings.
In the New Testament, demons spoke out in voices, caused people to throw themselves all over the place, etc. Demons never caused people to sin. Jesus said that comes from the heart of man.
So alcoholism is not a demon either. - unless you want to refer to it that way in the figurative sense, but that is not what you are talking about here.
