I just got it today and when I took the felt off to put the lighter fluid in I had to unscrew the thing that holds the flint. After I filled it up( I think I over filled it a tad) i put it back together and it didnt even spark any more. Whats up.

did you pick up the flint and PUT IT BACK IN AFTER YOU TOOK OUT THE SPRING AND SCREW?

ALSO you never ever lift the cotton felt out to fill the lighter, that felt is what you are suppose to wet with the lighter fluid if you read the directions.

You can lift one end to STORE AN EXTRA FLINT under it IF you are a real lighter user.

Treat a ZIPPO with respect as it can save your life!

Maybe try lighting it from another (working) lighter, to help isolate the area with the problem. If it don't light then the problems something to do with the fuel, or the wick If it does light from other lighter, then problem with spark ignition. New flint needed sounds very plausable. Maybe you got some grease on the flint/wheel, or maybe knocked the flint out (doesn't make a grinding type noise does it? If so there almost certainly no flint

It's wet, probably because of the lighter fluid. Burn it for a few second to let it dry. But not too long or you'll burn the stone.
Btw you dont have to unscrew anything, because that's where the stone is and it got some jig to push it. If you lost any of them, you gotta buy new one. No replacement for that.

You probably got the flint wet with lighter fluid.

the flint probably just got saturated. Change the flint, and you should be right.
