The pressure of the baby on the bladder as it gets full causes the pain. When you release the urine it takes a minute or two for the pain to go away because of the gradual release.

I don't think it's supposed to hurt. (I have a 9-month old, and don't remember anything like that happening.) Pain when urinating is frequently an infection, but the locations of your pain sound like they might be different than that. A doctor or nurse could best tell you what might be going on.

If it were me, I would call my doctor's nighttime advice nurse or the doctor on call and ask about it. Or, at the very least, call the doctor's office in the morning and tell them about what you're feeling. Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

it could possibly be a urinary tract infection. the least likely culprit could be kidney stones. if your urge to pee has increased more than usual it is more likely an infection. and if you don't treat it after awhile you may get pain where your kidney is. fever as well.

i just recently was treated and my sign was blood in my urine. do not worry tho. uti's happen more frequently in pregnancy due to the pressure on the bladder. urine may not be circulating enough and is just sitting and causing an infection. they will more likely prescribe macrobid as its safe for pregnancy. drink plenty of water or cranberry juice and see your doctor asap so you can get treatment.

Start drinking cranberry juice (in case of a UTI) and talk to your doctor. You might have a bladder infection--not uncommon during pregnancy, with everything being pushed and crammed into a smaller space to make room for the baby.

Pain when urinating sounds like an infections. Call your doc tomorrow morning. When I was in my 3rd trimester I had a bladder infection and let me tell you "OUCH"!
