Sell it...what do you need it for? It obviously reminds you of all the lies and the moral problems you speak of. Sell it, a wedding ring only symbolizes love and happiness, not lies!

Keep the ice. A person never gets the full value of a ring back when selling it.
Put it in the safety deposit box at the bank. Give it around six months to a year and then decide.
The stones can always be reset into a nice (cocktail-type) ring mounting to wear on your right hand, with a large colored gemstone in the middle (like an amethyst or sapphire.)

10K?! Sell it!! He is and will always be your ex, right? Why not sell it and put that money in the bank or sell it and buy yourself something nice...after all, you deserve it for having to deal with his lies! Congrats for getting away from that negative man. Good luck in the future!

i didn't sell mine, and i'd glad. it's only been a year since my divorce was final, but it is the only lasting thing i have left to remind me of the 20 years we spent together (besides my kids). yes it makes me sad sometime to look at it, but in another sense, it reminds me of my former life, and the reality is that it's sort of part of my identity. I remember when i was going through the divorce and this guy i was kinda seeing kept telling me to sell it -- he had a strong opinion about it! I think for them it's a constant reminder of the man in your past. If you are unsure, perhaps it's best to just wait. Once you sell it, it's gone...for good.

Honestly, i think unles you have any type of emotional attatchment i think you should sell it. put the money away and use it to start a new life. we can't always live in the past you have to move on and live for tomorrow. their is a web site i heard about that actually buys rings from people in your situation its called. idonowidont.com

Offer to give it back to him first and if he says you keep it then and only then do you sell it if you want to. If it were me i would keep it and put it up somewhere to have it for the good memories. But athat is just me and what i would do. You can always put it on a chain and wear it around your neck

You could either make it into a necklace, or make a ring or two from it, into something else you like. I'd suggest you keep it, and when it is made into something else, don't let the guy know where it came from. Enjoy! Take care.

Sell it, you always have the memory. Just be careful that the current guy swindle your money from the ring.

If you really dont love him anymore and know that you'll never get back together again, sell it off and buy yourself something nice with the money.
