what is cool about baseball is that there is no clock so the game can go on forever but an average MLB 9 innings runs close to 2.5 to 3 hours there is no limit to extra innings so you never know

2 to 4 hours! Depend on how good are the pitchers! If the pitcher is a strikeout pitcher than the time of the game is short and if the pitcher give away many homeruns, hits and walks than it will took you a longer time to watch!

Well, that's one thing that they have in common with soccer - neither is played by a clock. (Don't anyone try to tell me otherwise about soccer. It's NOT played by a clock, but by a very, very loose estimate by the officials. It it were played by a clock, there'd actually be on one, in use, on the scoreboard.)
There have been nine-inning games played in as litle as 58 minutes and as long as 4+ hours.

9 innings. (except when the game is tied)
No time limit. (except for curfews)
That's one of the great things about baseball. It's over when it's over.

Nine innings unless it ends in a tie. If there is a tie after nine innings, they keep playing until one of the teams is ahead at the end of an inning.
