I need a REAL answer, not just yes or no.
The metaphor is: I was a model citizen.

No, it's not. A metaphor is a direct comparison between two or more seemingly unrelated subjects. If you said "I was a beacon of propriety," that would be a metaphor, since there is no actual beacon involved. But stating "I am a model citizen" is just describing a characteristic of yourself.

No this is not a metaphor. A metaphor compares two things that are not possible... like.... I'm a shinning star. It is not possible for me to actually be a star physically, but it means I was the center of attention.

No because someone can be a model citizen. It's kinda like saying I was a good girl it tells you what type of girl I was but, it's not comparing it to something I can't be.
Like I can say I am Overweight.
Then I can say I am a whale.
I hope I explained that clear enough.

No, it's not a metaphor. It's just a statement about what kind of citizen you were.

Nope, sorry. To be a metaphor, you would have to be comparing something. However, you can't use "like" or "as" in your description--that would denote a similie.

For instance:

My attitude is like the setting sun. (this is a similie)
My attitude is the setting sun. (THIS is a metaphor)

A figure of speech in which a word or phrase that ordinarily designates one thing is used to designate another, thus making an implicit comparison, one example is "a sea of worries" or "The world is your stage"
