I am a college freshman and I'm stuck in a rut---fashion wise.

I have the same brown hair (with a few blonde highlights) that comes to about my shoulders. I wear it straight most of the time.
I basically just wear general makeup, but use a few different eyeliner colors daily.
My clothing style is classic with a little bit of rock and roll edge (kind of like gwen stefani but not quite as out there).

Can anyone recomend little style touches to take my look from high school to college?
Thank you in advance!

While I understand that college is more about learning than fashion, what I am trying to say is that, by making the transition to college from high school i am taking a big step in life and becoming more of an adult. therefore, i would like to know what changes in my style i can make to reflect that.

Try mixing casual w/ more structured items.
e.g. a corderoy blazer/jacket over a tee with a cool logo, wearing a tailored shirt with a jean jacket,

Add a few key items in more luxurious fabrics.
e.g. a cashmere or merino wool sweater, tweed trousers, wool skirt, a classic handbag in patent leather or suede

Try more sophisticated shoes for special occasions.
e.g. Leather boots, suede pumps, strappy leather wedge sandals.

More sophisticated, classic jewelry.
e.g. wedding band hoops in silver or gold, pearl earrings (real freshwater or simulated), 1-inch gold hoops, chadelier earrings

Use a few accessories like a scarf or belt or tights to add a bit of polish & color to an outfit.

Switch from highlights to lowlights. Try more sophisticated hair dos like low ponytails w/ a chic ribbon.

Change your makeup routine. Instead of eyeliner every day, try a soft eyeshadow with mascara. Save lip gloss for evening and wear a sheer lipstick during the day.

For college: they look at grade 12. The marks you get on the beginning up of the 1st semester determines if the college will evaluate you for admission and the final marks determines if: A) you nonetheless qualify B) no longer qualified (marks dropped to lots) the 1st a million/2 of grade 12 is considerable for different scholarships which you prepare for say the millennium award yet your very final marks are what determines if u receive college scholarships like front scholarships etc... and OSAP awards and bursaries. Grade 11 is likewise considerable for scholarships yet much less so for college

College students, unlike high school students, are more concerned with learning than they are with socializing. Your classic look should be fine. Most college students wear normal AE, A&F, Hollister, or no-name-brand styles. Again, college students are there to learn, so you don't have worry too much about style. Less is more!

Always have cute shoes to go with your look.. Get a really hot bag that you can use as a cute book bag. Maybe you should dye your hair all one color and get a cute haircut. make your eye makeup really subtle by wearing neutral tones .....make them pop by wearing liner and mascara always! keep gloss handy..so you can keep your look fresh.
